Open Source Licenses

Rhythm is built with open-source Android libraries and platform components. Key dependencies in MVP 1.0.4 include AndroidX Core, Activity, Lifecycle, WorkManager, DataStore, Navigation, Room, Jetpack Compose, Material components and Google Play services Location. The backend uses Firebase Functions and Google APIs libraries.

AndroidX and Jetpack libraries

AndroidX and Jetpack components are provided under their respective open-source licenses, commonly the Apache License 2.0. See the official Android Open Source Project and AndroidX distribution notices for the exact license applicable to each artifact.

Google Play Billing Library

Google Play Billing is provided by Google and is used under Google's applicable SDK and Google Play terms. It is not an open-source feature of Rhythm itself.

Rhythm original content

Except for third-party and open-source components identified by their own licenses, Rhythm's original application code, branding, graphics and documentation remain protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property law.

For a production release, Rhythm may also include a complete machine-generated third-party notices file inside the application package or About & Legal section.
